15 month well-check

You had a doctor's appointment yesterday.  You're about average on height and weight.  30 inches tall, and 23 lbs. 5 oz.  You're in the 50%ile for both.  You're head is very slowly slowing down and is in the 95%ile.

Developmentally you're right on track, or even a little ahead in some areas.  There were a couple things that you didn't score very high on, but it turns out I just haven't been giving you the chance to show me you can do them at home.  The doctor did the activities with you in the exam room, and you passed with flying colors.

You weren't a fan of the doctor.  I hope 15 months is just the very aware and skeptical age, and you'll begin to trust the doctor again.  You hate every bit of it.  You cried when your head was being measured, you cried on the scale, you cried when a nurse was trying to play with you.  You just cried.  Almost the whole time.  Thankfully, by the time we got your shots you were about out of tears and getting tired.  The most painful part seemed like the least painful of the whole visit.

When we got home you took a 3 hour nap.  Thankfully the injection spots haven't ever seemed to bother you.

Love you, love you, love you little girl.

catching up, a mini room makeover, and celebrating love.

I'm sneaking vegetables in anything I can lately.  Most of the time I'm successful.  Here you are enjoying spinach scrambled eggs.
You have a puppy that you're just as attached to as Garrett it to his tiger.  This was puppy washing day, it was a bad day for you.

Reunited, and it feels so good!
You're barely, barely getting enough hair to put a little clip in it.
You laid two boards on the ground and started balancing along them.
You love putting glasses on.  And hats.  Or anything that looks like...or doesn't look like a hat.
I've always felt like your room was too dark, and a little sad and old ladyish.  So one evening I just decided to change it.  I made a new, lighter curtain.  Added a fun blue peg board.  Panted stripes on the wall, and made a new mobile.  I got you a new shelf to store blankets and hung the bird houses, and a couple other things on the wall.  I'm sure you don't care much, but I love it.

Dad had Valentine's Day off, so we headed to the beach for a picnic.  You don't love the sand on your feet.  You had a nice time though, as long as you were on the blanket.

You slept the whole way home, and then for another 4 hours when we got home.
After nap time we had some more fun.  The White's came over and we made pizzas.  Then we headed to the senior center to pass out Valentines.  Everyone loved you.

You're such a sweetheart and I love you more everyday.
