Still Daddy's girl

When both of you kids are around, which is pretty much all the time, Garrett usually favors me, and you favor dad.  I don't know if you kids have 'decided' that, or if dad and I usually just go to the same child every time to help feed, change diapers, get really to go somewhere, etc.  But whatever it is, that's how it usually goes.  Garrett was is Utah last week for the whole week, and I had several moments where I felt like I needed to bond with you more.  Fortunately, we had one on one times that helped changed my feelings and fears that you didn't like me, and we had a lot of fun.  But when dad was around, you wanted to be with him.

 He took the two of us out to dinner, and you wanted to sit by him and you wanted to be arm in arm the whole meal.  I took a lot of pictures of it because it really was so cute.

I had to take a couple pictures during the week of you sleeping because it was often a challenge to get you to that point.  You wouldn't cry, you'd just yell for Garrett.  I think you find comfort in knowing that your big brother is asleep in the next room.

We went out for a food truck dinner that week too.  And of course, you wanted dad to hold you the whole time.

We went vegi pickin' and you loved to help me.  You're a great helper.

 I love you so much baby girl.  And it was really fun to have time with just you for a whole week.

The beach and other fun stuff in July...

In no particular order...

You're enjoying the beach more and more these days.

 We finally found a really fun kid-friendly beach, (Newport Pier). You had so much fun, and a couple times you ran out into the ocean all by yourself and I had to yell for you to stop.

Brunch at Mimo's Cafe.

 Free slurpee's on 7-11 day.

 Downtown LA and Olvera Street.

 You and Garrett like to pretend you're asleep in the car.  Oh, and you're naked in this picture because you jumped in a fountain at a Cathedral in LA.

 Such good helpers.

 Post bath/pre-bed cookie makin'.

 You were determined to help.  We went to tree stores and you carried this bag from the furthest store all the way to the car.  It was a long, hot, walk.  But I loved your determination. (So did several on-lookers.)

 You push the cup buttons down.  This is something I ALWAYS do, now I've found that you do it too.

 Mimi gave you this purse, and you love taking it places with you.

 National Ice Cream Day.  Any excuse to eat ice cream!

 Shopping for upcoming parties.  You love trying on hats.

 Garrett's in Utah this week with Mimi and Papa.  The picture below was taken on day one.  You wouldn't nap.  I think you may have missed the security of knowing big brother was asleep in the next room.  You've asked for him a lot.
