We made it to two months! (3 days ago) We had your 2 month well check today which means you had shots, which also means, no fun. After your brother had his one year shots I told dad that I'm no longer on immunization duty, or at the very least, he has to come with me. But of course I took you by myself. You did ok. You cried really hard during them. Even though it only lasts a few seconds it seemed like forever. And I admit, I had to fight back the tears myself. No mom likes to see their child hurt. But we made it through.
You weigh exactly 11 pounds, 55th percentile. You are 22.25 inches long, 50th percentile. And the proof that you have some Greenhalgh in you, your head circumference is 41 cm, 95th percentile! The nurse asked if I had to have a c-section because your head is so big.
A little about you at the 2 month mark:
-You smile all the time.
-You coo and make darling little baby noises often and I love it.
-The nurse said, "what a good baby, is she really mild mannered and content like this at home?" My response was, "I guess compared to most yes, compared to her brother as a baby, not quite as much."
-Dad and I really are lucky to have the laid back babies that we do. You are a little more fussy than I remember your brother being, but the first 3 months of his life are a blur, so maybe you're not that far off.
-You're not a great napper. I usually only get 2 one hour naps out of you a day, and then its just 20 minutes at a time here and there.
-You sleep good at night. We swaddle you when we're ready to go to bed, around 10. It takes 30-60 minutes to get you to sleep, and then you usually sleep for 7 hours, I feed you and you go back to sleep for sometimes an hour or two, and a couple times a week 3 more hours.
-Every once in a while you have a bad night. You wake up 2 or 3 times in the first 6 hours and its rough. Fortunately, its not often that this happens.
-Garrett grabs your hands and feet a lot and lightly shakes them, I used to try and get him to stop, but lately you look right at him and smile and look so happy and excited. So with close supervision, Garrett has already started playing with you a lot.
-Eating is still going well. We've got the nursing thing down, and its easy and convenient.
-I don't want to call you sis, but it happens a lot. The other nicknames that are catching on are Addie-cake, Addie-bug and Addie-lou. (I like bug and cake, dad likes lou.)
You get cuter and cuter everyday. And we love you so, so much.
